Frankenstein Fruit by the Foot

We are always trying to come up with some one of a kind idea. Since the schools Fall fest is just around the corner. We needed special goodies for all the kids in my son’s class. So I decided since Fruit by the Foot is my son’s favorite treat, that I would work around that. Frankenstein was the theme that I really wanted to work with so I create these super fun Fruit by the Foot Frankensteins. They turned out great!

Here are the “ingredients”

  • Green Tissue Paper

  • Goggly Eyes

  • Glue

  • Black Sharpie

  • Tape

  • Black Construction Paper

  • Fruit by the Foot

It’s best to precut everything so the process goes smoothly. The good thing about tissue paper is that the creases help you cut a straight line. I doubled up on the paper since it is so thin. Then I cut the Frankenstein hair from the black construction paper, you can see in the image how I did it. They came out to about 2.5 inches long, you can alway trim if necessary. After everything is cut out you can start by wrapping the Fruit by the Foots in the green tissue paper. I wrapped them like I was wrapping a present and tapping the backs downs. Next I glued the Frankenstein hair at the top of the wrapped treats. From there I just had fun with the goggly eyes and drew some faces on them.

They came out pretty cool! I think the kiddos are really going to love seeing them in their cubbies. This is also a really fun activity for your kids to help you with as well.

We sure hope your little ghouls and goblins love making or receiving theses super cute Frankenstein Fruit by the Foot treats. Happy Halloween and safe trick-or-treating!
